i'm busy as a bee this month with orders, new designs, and updating the website, so i thought i'd post some pictures of the early influence for the comma quilts. this is an installation i did several years ago at the SAAW gallery in philadelphia. each translucent scrim has a narrative sewn into it, creating layers of stories. transitioning this idea into quilts was my way of coming full circle back to my family of quilters. funny, i still have that same haircut and wear that carhartt hoodie.... these photos were lovingly taken by my dear friend stephanie, who happened to be my first customer when i launched comma. she has a cute weimaraner named darwin.
